Eames Inspired Lobby Chair

History

When Charles and Ray Eames were assigned the challenge of creating a unique chair to furnish the lobby in the Rockerfeller Centre, New York, they rose to the occasion with typical aplomb. And with the characteristic cool confidence and flair that had come to define their nature, they exceeded all expectations. In consequence of their commission the magnificent Eames Lobby Chair was born, a creation that represents an outstanding example of design genius at its very best.

The Eames Lobby Chair featured as a member of the ‘Leisure Group’ and is regarded by many to be the crowning glory of this radical furniture range. It is not difficult to see why it is held in such high esteem. With inimitable retro good looks, substantial leather cushions and handsome, highly polished aluminium frame, it has serious creative credentials.

Style, Status & Quality
Our Eames Inspired Lobby Chair offers functionality at the same high level as it oozes superior aesthetics. Sharing a similar structural design to the Eames Lounge Chair, it essentially comprises three individually upholstered sections.

The combined effect of deep leather cushioning, Supersmooth™ gas lift height adjustment mechanism and lumber support provides a superb degree of comfort. Indeed, a true haven for relaxtion. Swivel, tilt and castors facilitate a wide range of movement, making it perfect for work purposes too.

Elegant, robust and multi-functional, the Eames Inspired Lobby Chair is equally suited to both home and office. This explains why it continues to enjoy pride of presence in conference centers, corporate lobbies, boardrooms and home offices.
